N n
“Nothing is ‘normal’ — novelty and Nature
are one.”
‘N’ has to do with numerism, both determinate and
indeterminate, as well as progeny, in the sense of an unspecified
number or quality which emerges from reflection and interaction.
The
majuscule letter bears a strong resemblance to the Hebrew aleph,
and shows a mirroring or reversible relationship where the bottom
of the right pillar becomes the top of the left, and vice-versa.
This implies a reflective reproduction.
The miniscule is an ‘h’
with the pillar shortened, the downward stroke is reflected into
an
inverted cup, or dome to the right (or east) of the stroke. In
both characters it is customary to draw downward, then up, then
continue — which
implies energy drawn down, rising up, and then being reflected
into new or novel forms and beings.
The indeterminate quality of newly-arriving instances or multiples
has strong precedence in this letter’s interpretation, with
the additional quality of ‘randomness’ attached to
that which emerges from prior sources, actions or circumstances.
The somewhat random quality of ‘noise’ is similarly
implicit in ‘N’.
