Y y
“Yearn not for yesterday, enjoy the novelty
of now.”
‘Y’ is a letter which appears far more often at the end of words,
rather than at the beginning. To understand it’s character, one
must explore this aspect of the letter deeply and directly.
I particularly associate this letter with ‘the purpose of’, divinity,
and trinity.
Its
appearance at the end of words implies at once something produced
by the action and interreflection of letters in words, as well
as comprising a mysterious signature or mark of identity.
The
teachingSpirit showed me that it is as if a tree was raising
its branches toward
the divine emanations of light, or a person raising their arms
toward ‘all that is’ — particularly the living source we refer
to as ‘God’, and which I often call the unityBeing.
Of the letter’s shape we may observe that an emanation
from above is condensed or constricted, and from this a downflowing
stroke
(majuscule) or
leftward ray (miniscule) emanates.
Alternately,
a single
aspect of the ‘lower world’ is exalted and expands in rising. In
this case, rather than choose
one or the other, let us instead suppose both. Further, we may
notice that the shape indicates ‘two parents’ who are joined in
the creation
of a child.
I consider
it
the most
perfectly
trinitarian
letter, for the three projections from the center are of equivalent
size, thickness and length in the majuscule. It is a letter long
associated with holiness, and is descended from yoad — the
first of the three letters of the sacred ‘name of God’ in Hebrew.
